Hovedvinduet er opdelt i et stort tekstområde, hvor &gnupg;'s beskeder viser sig mens de bliver genereret, en værktøjslinje der giver hurtig adgang til de oftest brugte funktioner, så vel som den obligatoriske menulinje. </para>
