<para>Este proyecto se inició para ayudar a unificar el vocabulario utilizado en la documentación de &kde;.</para>
<para>Se proporciona esta guía con el objetivo de ayudar en el aprendizaje de la interfaz gráfica de usuario de &kde;. Estos nombre se han estandarizados en la documentación de &kde;, por tanto, siempre deberá referirse a los elementos de la interfaz de la misma forma.</para>
<tip><para>El término «control» se refiere al bloque básico de construcción de la interfaz de un programa de ordenador.</para>
<para>Cada control funciona de forma similar cada vez que es usado, aunque el efecto del control dependerá del lugar que ocupe dentro del programa.</para></tip>
